Hello again, bento enthusiasts!
As promised, here is the second installment of the "playing catch-up" bento week.
Despite the bad photo (we were on our way to Andrew when I realized I hadn't snapped a pic! Oops!)
Wednesday's lunch was, in my opinion, the winner of the week.
Peach's hair is mustard-tinted onigiri stuffed with Spam. Tasty! Her adorably round face is another onigiri, this time stuffed with peaches, and covered with a turkey baloney skin. One of the gems in her crown is also baloney, as are her ears. Grapes make her eyes (along with a bit of cheese), earrings, and the gems of her crown and necklace. Yes, fan-boys, I realize I should have had two baloney gems and one grape gem. Let it go. Breathe. It will be alright.
She rests her cheese crowned head upon a bead of lettuce, with strawberry accent pillows. Her peachy mouth is actual peach skin, with a peach itself making the setting for her grape gem necklace strung with rice pearls. So fashionable, Princess!
As is standard for my highly decorative lunches, most of the small pieces were skewered onto the main onigiri with a piece of broken spaghetti.
This bento took quite a bit of time (the better part of an hour!!) to complete - not bad, considering this is the most extensive, detailed bento I've ever made! Getting those points in Peach's hair was difficult!!!
Alas, I must leave you now, to make the post for Wednesday's bento. :3
Best Dishes for you,
