Rabbit Food =:3

BUNNAMAME!
Oh!  MATHS!  Bunny + Edamame = BUNNAMAME.  Sounds like the title of a 50's monster-mash drive-in movie.  0_0

This was a very quick bento - a Speed Bento, if you will.  I only had 10 mins to put the whole thing together!

Bunnies are a common theme in the bentos I make, because they are my Husband's favorite animal.  And they're cute to boot!  ^_^*

I like this fellow - he seems shy, in a way, blushing to see everyone staring back at him through the interwebz.

His adorable blush is made possible by cutting salami with a bottlecap, and attaching it to his mustard-tinted onigiri head while it's still warm.  This picture really doesn't do the yellow rice any justice, it was a beautiful pale Spring Yellow.

Nom nom nom!
His cranium is filled with the same mixture his ears are - mashed potatoes and minced bacon tinted with red cabbage-water (the leftovers of boiling red cabbage, of course.  Great for turning things purple!)  I know it sounds strange, but it's really quite tasty.

Provolone cheese was used for his eyes, and his pupils, eyebrows, and mouth/nose are all cut from nori, as usual.  ^_^*

You know, it might be a helpful to all you bento beginners if I posted a video of how I shape onigiri - both by hand and by cookiecutter.  What do you think, dear readers?  Is this idea a go?  Would you like video tutorials?

Best Dishes to you,
~Lollidorable, your Cute Lunch Lady
